A message from our President

Dear North Ballarat FNC Family,

As the President of our great club, I want to thank you all for your ongoing support of the North Ballarat Football and Netball Club. Our community thrives because of the dedication of our players, families, and volunteers.

Right now, we’re in need of some extra hands in our Senior Canteen. Unfortunately, the same small group of volunteers has been carrying a heavy load, and we’re reaching out to ask for your help.

Here’s the good news: if we get enough volunteers, you might only need to help once a season. Just one shift a year can make a huge difference when we all pitch in.

Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, past player, or supporter, giving a couple hours of your time helps fund vital club programs and keeps things running smoothly on game days. It’s also a great way to connect with the club community and support our teams.

How to volunteer: Contact Lee at manager@northballaratfnc.com.au to let us know you’re happy to help. We’ll work with you to find a time that suits. We also have an online roster which you can log onto and put your name in one of the spots for the day. The link and further information is below.

Thanks for being part of what makes North Ballarat FNC special. With your support, we can keep building a strong, sustainable future for our club. If there are other roles you would be willing to undertake or other ways or skills you can contribute to the club, don’t be frightened to raise your hand and we are more than happy to talk to you and guide you through the roles we have available on game day or anytime.

The North Ballarat Sports Club recently held its Annual General Meeting, bringing together members and supporters to reflect on the past year and recognise the incredible people who continue to drive our club forward. One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of our highest honour, with Stephen McNulty inducted into the Hall of Fame. This prestigious recognition celebrates Stephen’s outstanding contribution, dedication, and lasting impact on the club. We were also proud to award Life Memberships to several individuals who have given years of service and commitment to North Ballarat: Pete Dwyer – Life Member Ange Carey – Life Member Mandy Polkinghorne – Life Member Prue Douglass – Life Member (absent on the night) Life Membership recognises those who have gone above and beyond for the club, and we thank them for the passion and time they have invested in the North community. The AGM also confirmed key leadership roles for the year ahead: Brad Beseler – Secretary Mick Ryan – Football Director Lenny Quinlan – Business Operations Director Cam Palmer – Treasurer We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Shay McInerney, who has finished her term as Junior Director. Shay’s contribution and commitment to the club’s future has been greatly appreciated. As we look ahead to the 2026 season, we thank everyone who continues to support North Ballarat. The strength of our club comes from the people who volunteer their time, energy, and passion to keep the black and white thriving. Go North 🖤🤍
